When the weather's nice it's pretty chill to sit on the porch and watch the evening unfold while listening to baseball on the radio with a cocktail or 3. I don't do it often, but it is indeed nice. Some folks call it a kaiser blade, btw.
Yes, to assure they tie for the second wild card, the magic number is 2 as Tampa Bay could theoretically win 100 games.
Indians can't win 100. Any combination of Astros wins Indians losses adding up to 2 ensures Astros are in playoffs outright. May need an extra game to determine if Astros are the Division Champ or a Wild Card though.
Whoops...forgot that if the Astros were WC that means Oakland wins the division and takes them out of the WC.
@Buck Turgidson Absolutely love listening to baseball on the radio, it’s a thing of beauty. Reminds me of when I was a kid sitting in my room feeling like I was damn near watching it in person because it was done so well. Do I appreciate getting to see every game in person or on tv these days? Yes of course. If I’m traveling, having to run errands or something along those lines, I don’t miss a beat. I still love listening on the radio.
That was a pleasant surprise to wake up this morning and see that KC beat Oakland. Did not expect that. Two runs in the 9th against their closer after Oak had taken a one run lead in the 8th. Nice way to start the day. Thank you KC.
