Try 0. 'I heard a rumor' is not corroborating a story. Everyone who could corroborate the story says it never happened or they dont remember . This brings up a forgotten hero of this whole debacle. Leland Keyser. She was bullied/threatened to try and corroborate Ford's false story and she never gave in. She knew the story was fake and never caved.

I did not want him when he was initially nominated. I wanted Amy Coney Barrett. I actually become more endeared to Kavanaugh during the confirmation process the more made up bullcrap that was put out by desperate leftist trying to destroy the man. I believe Barrett will likely be nominated to the SCOTUS to replace RBG sometime in the next five years.

I dont fault the NYT for omitting the information. If the desire is to slam kavanaugh then the facts arent relevant. Adding that extra information would hurt their truth.

While I think the young Kavanaugh was probably a boor who probably engaged in sexual behavior that bordered on or transgressed into rapey behavior, Democrats have to admit defeat on this fight. Statutes of limitations have all run out so you're not ever going to get any criminal investigation, and an extra-judicial political investigation will be hard even if Democrats were in charge. Sometimes when people do bad things, they get away with it.

Perhaps? They are unnamed, but you shouldn't cast aspersions on people who (reportedly) are telling what they believe. But her not wanting to talk to the press or even to be brought out in public about it doesn't mean it didn't happen, especially after she saw what happened to Ms. Blasey-Ford and Ms. Ramirez who both were vilified after their credible accusations. What this does reinforce: kavanaugh was a questionable nominee that should have been vetted much more completely BEFORE being nominated for such an important lifetime position. kavanaugh should have been vetted much more completely AFTER being nominated. kavanaugh should have been investigated much more completely AFTER the accusations became known.
