The guys can start hitting anytime. It's OK: the guys are only getting stoned by pitchers with 5.2 and 7.0 ERAs. Perfectly natural and expected.
Maldonado has not been doing a great job throwing out runners contrary to what the broadcast is saying. Most of his throws have ended up in CF.
I have to say.... for someone with such high ability defensively and with such strong tools behind the plate.... Maldonado screws up a lot. I don’t know if it is focus or what but he shouldn’t make as many mistakes as he does.

Given the passed ball express in the BoSox series last year, I was surprised they brought him back. Hitting a lot of HRs lately though.
And we have the advantage of the calls at the plate which almost never happens and still can’t muster more than a run.
