vaping is a big issue. My daughter says about 30 percent of the kids are vaping regularly and we live in a upper middle class area where probably half the moms are stay at home.

 

Latest news about the deaths was that it wasn't contamination but rather a common ingredient that turned into grease when the vapor cooled in people's lungs.

It just kept coating the lungs until the cells couldn't handle it and started forming scar tissue.

People who chain smoke are the perfect lab rats to see which safe ingredients go wrong when inhaled at a high temperature.

I smell fruity flavored class action lawsuits.

 

That is there kids the money the gun lobbyist will never let it be about the kids.

So let me ask the obvious stupid question: why ban this but not cigarettes which of course have killed millions of people?

Is it just these deaths are more sudden or Big Tobacco has better lobbyists?

This is so silly -- everyone I know that uses a vape buys flavored pods or whatever. I guess strawberry margaritas should be banned too -- no way an adult would drink a flavor children enjoy. They must be trying to make children alcoholics.

 

I would rather children vape around me and on the streets than start chain smoking and leaving smoke everywhere. Last thing I need are 10-12 year olds asking me if I have cigarettes or flicking butts everywhere.

 

The latest new "concept" is to have adult products more kid-like and nostalgiac. Spiked milkshakes, cereal flavored hipster donuts, fruity vape flavors, etc... Whatever is trendy/artisanal and sells 1.5x more than the original basic item.

Hell, mac n cheese was considered a kids menu item, now you can add 3 different layers of fancy stinky cheese, sprinkle on some cured meat, and blow up the portions. Still love it though...

I dunno anymore whether it's kids trying to act like adults or adults acting like kids.

 

They won't need butts if the government just bans filtered cigarettes.

 

We are reaching a point in our history in which even people in their sixties have been targeted by marketing as kids when they were younger.
