Here's to not worrying about losing all our future draft picks. Here's to adding more protection for Watson. Here's to singing "Don't worry, be happy" when people fret about the worst case scenario. Here's to not having to use the acronym SMH when it comes to any more decisions made by B.O.B. this year. Here's to Watson and Watt having an injury free year, and making some magic happen. Here's to a hoping for a shock and awe start of the season as we start taking down some of the best teams in the league. Go Texans!!! Super Bowl or bust! Miracles do happen!
I can agree with "weren't bad". They definitely haven't been good. The 2018 draft outside of Reid was bad. Max Scharping is the best of the 2019 draft picks. Howard and Rankin were drafted to play positions they ended up not playing (because they weren't good enough). They wouldn't have used a 3rd on a TE if either of the TEs last year were good enough. You don't draft your backup TE in the 3rd especially with all the other needs on the team. We can't even hang our hats on the UDFAs like we used to. If you're a BOB truther, you blame all that on Gaine. But it is more likely O'Brien was very involved in all those picks. They threw "alignment" in our face all off-season. How should we believe they weren't on the same page. Reports came out that Gaine and O'Brien were split on Clowney. Putting pieces together: Gaine wanted to sign Clowney or at least give him a better offer; coach was done with him. Apparently they couldn't get past that. The coach's reluctance to deal with problems early enough is costing this team. We all know they needed a LT better than Kalil like 3 months ago. A decision needed to be made about Clowney before the July deadline. He better hope Tunsil is a quick learner and is ready to go in a week.
Can't even say scharping and Howard are good. The coaches seem to think Howard can't play LT and scharping looked pretty slow at times in the preseason. Both likely to struggle as rookies.
#Texans head coach Bill O’Brien says he’s very confident in the current day-to-day functions in the organization. Bill O'Brien 'There's 32 teams and most have a GM. The fact we have a team of people, people have to get used to that. We have a team of very bright people. I'm not sitting in a room by myself. We're in a room and we're debating. Strong group of people, have a great background'
Coaches never said that. They didn't want to throw Howard at LT to start the season. You don't know if they with struggle. Stop pulling **** out of your ass.
Reporter: Coach can you tell us how the game slipped away from you at the end and cost you the W? Obrien: Its not my job Brian!!!! #FireO’brein
