Awe. Poor Iggy. If he can’t play on a team stacked with 4 allstars, he is just going to pout in the corner. I feel so sad for him. Making millions of dollars to play a game isn’t enough. It must also be on his terms with multiple stars.

There’s guys who would appreciate even a chance to play 1 season in the NBA and this guy just ***** on the opportunity because he’s too good for that. It’s crazy how spoiled some athletes have become. They completely lose touch with regular people.

This is all the Warriors fault, if only they didn’t have a cold hearted analytical GM who treated his players like assets...

Just traded Iggy, finals MVP, to a trash team for his final season without even getting and agreement that they would buy him out first. Cold cold cold.

They are just trying to drive the asking price up. Iggy just doesn't fit what they are trying to do.

iggy aint going out like that. It's finders keepers. Don't think iggy trying to be on the waivers market after being in the finals and that strong run warriors just had.

Iggy aint trying to join demarcus cousins, far"weed", and iman shumpert on the soon to be waivers market!

Anybody who sides with Iggy in case of pouting / not reporting to camp and or think Memphis are being petty, just stop it right now! He’s getting paid 15 million to do nothing. Accept your responsibility and report to the team, be professional and help the young guys. I will loose all respect for him if he makes a big deal about this and if he makes a public stinker, then all his past achievements should be stripped from the books.

Tired of these arrogant millionaires who think they can just do whatever they want. Us regular job folks have to go to work regardless if we like our workplace and actually have to do the job. These guys can just get millions by practicing a sport they love, sit on the bench, be around a team etc. Zero sympathy for athletes who refuse to report to a team or force their way out of a team in a situation like Iggy.

I'm so sick of quotes like Shams's of Memphis "preventing Iggy from finishing his career on his terms".

His terms were to play basketball for $17 million dollars a year! It's so ridiculous to hear that he feels like a hostage, c'mon. He's not owed any courtesy, especially from a small market team trying to rebuild. Maybe the story is different if he's willing to waive his whole salary, but I'm pretty sure he still wants like 14 million from a buyout. Iggy should be sacrificing, not Memphis.

Big market teams do courtesy buy-outs to play nice with agents and look good to free agents. I can't even remember the last significant free agent to sign with Memphis. Only way Memphis can compete is through the draft, so who can blame them for wanting picks out of a desired player. At the least, they could score some second rounders, and maybe even a 1st if a contender's SF goes down.

We've seen Morty do this kind of swap mid season. Also flushed Melo down mid season.

Don't get your hopes up Iggy. They might pinch pennies and suspend your ass until they think the market has tightened

Why does Memphis even have a bball team? They should move it to Seattle.

Why do I get the feeling the whole slavery mentality argument and feeling like a prisoner who cannot decide where he wants to play is going to be brought up if Iggy starts to even hint at not being happy and take his feelings public? On the hand, please let it happen, just so guys like him and Draymond can look like donkeys (read asses) again. On the other hand, it's just better for everyone if he reports to the team, keeps his mouth shut and does his job.

If Iggy makes the Hall of Fame before Rudy T, I'll start growing termite colonies and mailing them to Springfield Massachusetts.

Makes absolutely no sense that Rudy T is not inducted yet. The guy won back to back ships and the second as a 6th seed for crying out loud....

I thought Iggy was good. Why can't he carry this team to the playoffs? I can guaranfugginT James Harden would have Memphis in the playoffs this year.

Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson, Josh Jackson, Jonas Valecunis, Bruno, Grayson, Dillon Brooks, Kyle Anderson, Jae Crowder, Jevon Carter AND James Harden... they're competing for a top 5 seed.

Greek Freak ain't making the playoffs in the West with that roster. That's why James Harden is MVP every year, year after year. Fug the voters.
