The Democrat's seven hour long climate change town hall on CNN was a kook fest. Here is a good article that describes what all this unhinged hyperbole and nonsense actually tells us:

CNN’s Presidential Climate Change Town Hall Was Insane

Put it this way: the most benign climate-change plan proposed during CNN’s seven-hour Democratic Party presidential candidate town hall was more authoritarian than anything Donald Trump has ever suggested during his presidency. Democrats were not merely proposing massive societal upheaval but mass coercion.

CNN says it’s a “crisis,” though, so Democrats were free to offer one insane Nostradamus-like prediction after the next. Not only is every weather event now a manifestation of global warming, but Beto O’Rourke says our communities will soon be “uninhabitable,” and Pete Buttigieg says the challenge of warming is on par with World War II, a conflict that took more than 400,000 American lives and tens of millions of others.

None of this hysteria, as far as I can tell, was challenged during those seven hours.

As Joel Pollak notes, at this point climate change “is primarily experienced as a mass hysteria phenomenon,” a collective illusion of a massive threat. Just listen to audience members earnestly asking questions based on the risible premise that we’re on the brink of extinction. It’s really one of the tragedies of our age that so many anxious young people have been brainwashed into believing they live on the cusp of dystopia when, in fact, they’re in the middle of a golden age — an era with less war, sickness, poverty, and suffering than any in history.

And because the clown car has not gone koo-koo enough, CNN now wants to do one of these town halls for "LGBTQ..." issues.

    SMH. Stay tuned....

Former leading Democrat presidential candidate, Gary Hart, is endorsing Michael Bennet. Maybe this will help Bennett to start to get some traction in this race. There needs to be a more moderate option in this race.

Gary Hart to endorse Bennet for president

White House hopeful Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) announced Friday that he picked up the endorsement of former presidential candidate and Colorado Senator Gary Hart (D). Bennet’s campaign said the endorsement will officially be announced Saturday at the New Hampshire Democratic Party Convention.

Hart, who ran an insurgent bid for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1984, unexpectedly won the state’s primary that year, but eventually lost to former Vice President Walter Mondale.

“A number of years ago, the voters of New Hampshire provided an opportunity for a young Colorado senator to build a strong national candidacy,” Hart said in a statement to The Associated Press. “They have the chance now to do it again. Michael Bennet has the intelligence, experience, and judgment to put our nation back on track at home and abroad.”

Back in the day, Hart was regarded as somewhat of a lefty. Not anymore.

David Axelrod is concerned that Joe Biden is serially distorting his own record and is at risk of harming himself and his campaign more severely if he continues doing it.

The first three early state races appear to be tightening substantially, if the latest CBS/YouGov poll is anywhere close to being right.

    CBS News/YouGov

Iowa is showing Biden leading Sanders in a statistical dead heat. New Hampshire has a three way statistical dead heat, with Pocahontas in the lead and then Biden and Sanders trailing very close behind. In Nevada, Sanders leads Biden in what is again a statistical dead heat.

If these contests actually play out this way, then someone needs to bring a good supply of body bags. This is going to be a long and very competitive contest.

Tulsi Gabbard says that the impeachment of Donald Trump would "Tear our country apart". But isn't that what the TDS afflicted Democrat left wants? Either they get their way, or tear the country apart? It sure does look like those are the choices as they see it.

Tulsi Gabbard: Impeachment Would ‘Tear Our Country Apart’

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) said in a new interview that she opposes an effort by dozens of House Democrats for an impeachment inquiry into the president, saying it would cause further divisions within the U.S. In an interview on "Full Court Press with Greta Van Susteren," the 2020 candidate for president took a firm stance against impeachment, putting her at odds with other Democratic candidates for president including Sens. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

"I don’t [support impeachment,]" Gabbard said. "You know, I think it’s important for us to think about what is in the best interest of the country and the American people, and continuing to pursue impeachment is something that I think will only further to tear our country apart."

"Make no bones about it: We need to defeat Donald Trump. But I think it’s important for our country’s sake and our future that the voters in this country are the ones who do that, and I believe that we will," Gabbard added.

Beto O'Roarke believes that Americans would willingly comply with Democrat's gun confiscation schemes. No police involvement would be required.

O'Rourke Believes Americans Will Willingly Comply with Gun Confiscation, Won't Need Police

Beto O’Rourke is from Texas yet apparently isn’t familiar with the phrase “molon labe.”

The ancient Greek phrase translates to “come and take it.” Its most famous use outside of the Battle of Thermopylae came during the Texas Revolution when the Mexican government came for a village’s cannon. In the years since it has become a rallying cry for those who believe in the Second Amendment — and those who would want to come for people’s firearms.

“No. I don’t see the law enforcement going door to door,” O’Rourke said in response to a question at the New Hampshire Democratic Party Convention on Saturday. I see Americans complying with the law. I see us working with gun owners, non-gun owners, local, county, state, federal law enforcement to come up with the best possible solution. I have yet to meet an owner of an AR-15 who thinks it’s OK that we have these kind of mass killings in this country.”

    Come and get it, Beto.

Rohm Emmanuel says that "Medicare for All" - the current position for nearly all of the Democrats currently running for President - is an untenable position for a general election.

Emanuel: Medicare For All "An Untenable Position For The General Election"

The risk you said, and which is appropriate, and it measures up as, health care is the single issue that Democrats have a 35-point advantage on. President Trump's trying to do everything he can to narrow that down. We have taken a position so far, and the candidates have, through the process -- a few have not -- about -- on basically Medicare for all, which is, we're going to eliminate 150 million people's health care, and we're going to provide health care for people that have just come over the border.

That is an untenable position for the general election. As you know, George, I just biked around Lake Michigan, nearly 1,000 miles, through Michigan and Wisconsin, two really important states. Nobody at a diner ran at me and said, take my healthcare away. Nobody. This is -- this is reckless as it relates to -- and you don't have to take the position to win the primary. And you're basically literally hindering yourself for the general election.
