WMW??? I guess this means Clemons is just going to flat out make the team? Or cut, because small ...

back in late July, seems Bima expected the 2-way going to Clemons.

I don't know man. I hate to say it but seems like a poor man's Rubio.

Would love for him to make it, he seems like a hustle guy.

So a rotational player? That’d be great.

Like my tweet says, I FIRMLY expect Chris Clemons to make the Rockets roster. (with him not being on a 2-way).

Clemons has proven to me that he should get a full roster spot. His leaping ability / strength counters
his diminutive stature defensively.....can play day one offensively in the Rockets scheme.

His length and ability to switch on D makes him better role player than Ponds.

Not so worried about his defense. 99% of the time a rookie will not be a great defender. But with smarts and effort, he could be a very good defender at some point in the near future.

On offense though, if you take away his passing, he has absolutely nothing. That's not just a theoretical exercise. With Harden and Westbrook on the team, we have 48 minutes of ball dominance. But the even bigger problem is that the Nash/Kidd/Rubio type of PG has no place in this NBA. You can't live off needing the ball to pass it anymore.

Anyhow, I doubt they're looking at him for the short term. He's a good prospect to stash and develop in the G-League. If he has passable defense, passable 3pt shot and excellent effort to support his court vision, then we're talking about an NBA player. Sounds like he was well aware of the need to improve his 3pt shooting, which is a great first step. Would love for him to develop into a solid backup guard by next season.
