They are probably dealing with the Texans though.

    He isn’t.

He wants big money and he’s has 3 out of 5 years under 4 yards a carry.

There is plenty of RB’s who can give you similar production.

    It's an RB.

    Offer a 7th.

Can’t hurt man! Look what happened with Clooney and the o-line... we had to pay for it later. Strike while the iron is hot. The more instability we have in back office, it will spill onto the field.

He is not coming in without a new contract. He wants $13-15 million. NO WAY.

One problem: The Texans play the Chargers week 3 so even if there is interest in Gordon, it’s unlikely the Chargers would trade him to Texans before then. That said, this is the kind of move that could make the Texans a true contender and I would do it. Watt’s time is short, Mercilus is on the last year of his deal, and your years of Watson on a rookie contract are running out. Time to go for it.

Paying big money for an RB is dumb. The Dallas/Zeke deal is dumber than anything the Texans have done in the last week.

Any word on his contract demands. I would be open for front loading to offset guaranteed money that haunts you on the back end. Now would be a good time to structure a front loaded contract...

New deals for DW4, Tunsil, and Watt could come as early as next summer. Mercilus will be a FA as well. We’re talking some serious cash coming up. Don’t think front loading helps us at this point.

Watt can wait and he might walk away after his deal he’s always said he wasn’t going to play that long in the league and with all the injuries he could step away.

No move in the history of the NFL was dumber than the Clowney trade. I’m sorry, but we traded an All Pro first overall pick for no reason. And we got absolutely nothing in return cuz we woulda got a compensatory 3rd if he walked away. Then we followed it up by mortgaging our future to win now. But if we are trying to win now, why trade Clowney? Make him play on franchise tag.. just incompetence all around.

Heck even the Osweiler contract was better than that.

Clowney was NOT All-Pro. He made the pro bowl....there is a difference. Paying Clowney Donald/Mack money is DUMB. He is not in the same class as those players. Clowney's knee is a TIME BOMB. At some point, it is going to explode. Should they have gotten more, sure. It is what is.......Let's hope Jacob Martin develops.
