Not bad, we've seen worse. Looks like an average line w/ above average potential based on health, etc. It's going to be fun to see what Watson can do with an extra second or two. By this time next year, I'd expect us to be a top 10 line.
I think Texans pull an upset honestly. If this game was later is the season I would same it could go either way but starting the season, with all the major injuries and trades with have..we will be expected to lose. Saints chemistry is still all there from last season but I see Watson pulling it off and surprising the nfl experts. I’m going Watson/Texans with a high scoring game.
New Orleans isn’t great out of the gate. I really like the Duke Johnson and Kenny Stills additions. We now have two absolute burners on the field and that doesn’t include Hopkins or Coutee who can beat man coverage no problem. It should be a good offensive team.
It is certainly possible. Both teams tend to start off slow. Remember the Saints lost to Fitzpatrick's Bucks to begin last season.
I think this decision is more about Nick Martin starting at center and Fulton being the best lineman they have. Scharping only practiced on the right side and with Nick Martin starting at center it pushed back Fulton to RG. Scharping was not going to usurp Fulton and he definitely wasn't going to replace coach favorite, Henderson, at RT. I think Scharping was the best of this draft class and wish they would find a way to get him on the field. An injury to Henderson, Martin, or Fulton should be enough to get him on there.
Looks like a below average line with potential to be mediocre. We're still bottom 1/3 of the league, even with Tunsil.
And when have the Texans' been embarrassed with Watson at QB? The Colts game in the playoffs is the only game where the Texans lost by more than a TD with Watson at QB (if Im not mistaken).
Scharpring looked good at times and slow at others. Rookies need time. Wouldn't be surprised if Kelemente takes over starting LG soon
I'm feeling optimistic. Too many times we look at what teams did last year and believe they'll carry it over. This will be a shootout...but we will win. HOU 42 NOS 40
I think Kelemete is more likely to play at LG than RG. Fulton isn't leaving that RG spot except to take over the center position. If Henderson goes down: Tunsil, Howard, Martin, Fulton, Scharping If Martin goes down: Tunsil, Howard, Fulton, Scharping, Henderson *If Fulton goes down: Tunsil, Howard, Martin, Scharping, Henderson If Tunsil goes down Johnson, Howard, Martin, Fulton, Henderson If Howard goes down Tunsil, Kelemete, Martin, Fulton, Henderson *If Mancz is healthy, he might come in for Martin instead of sliding Fulton over.
