Yeah, that scene freaked out 8-year-old me. Great movie.

I hope it's good but the director they have onboard makes average movies.

Wow. Now they need to do a live action version of The Secret of Nimh and my childhood terrors will be mostly complete. Trying to think of the other ones.

We need a Labyrinth sequel with Jennifer Garner for some reason. (too bad David Bowie is no longer with us)

Garner is too old for that role.....but is aging very well.

I don't remember why I liked the original, it's been too long, but I am pretty sure I liked it. This looks too similar though in an age of CGI. I don't think puppetry is going to play well with this generation. It will get some nostalgic views, but my gut tells me this is a bomb. If you give me a dark version of the fraggle rock origin story, I'm in tho'. Doozers gone wrong.

That's the thing that is so good about Netflix and their "original" programming.

Even if it doesn't play well to the masses, if it wrangles some new (or retains) subscribers for the platform it has done it's job. It gives them a ton of latitude to play with less popular shows or movies with a smaller but dedicated fan base . Sometimes they blow up like Stranger Things did.

I personally hated the Dark Crystal (a lot of those mid 80's fantasy movies creeped me out more than anything), and I hate all puppets except the muppets, but I love that things like this get a new chance.

Hating cities is like when people hate on entire decades of music—they just didn’t know where to look for the good stuff. I like the character of Houston more than Dallas, but I sure can have a good time in Dallas when I want.

Fort Worth is noticeably different than Dallas, and all the cities in between are basically bedroom communities that are unremarkable in every way.

I don’t remember a lot about the original other than it really creeped me out as a kid in the 80’s but I think I kind of liked it

Just watching the trailer brings back a somewhat uncomfortable feeling.
