Who is the NBA's next team turmoil?
Which team will deal with the most drama and angst this season? It's a close vote between three squads that added major pieces over the summer (Russell Westbrook in Houston, Anthony Davis in Los Angeles and Kyrie Irving plus Kevin Durant in Brooklyn).

    1. Houston Rockets: 69 points (21.2% first-place votes)

    2. Los Angeles Lakers: 67 points (27.3% first-place votes)

    3. Brooklyn Nets: 64 points (27.3% first-place votes)

    4. Philadelphia 76ers: 31 points (31% first-place votes)

    5. Washington Wizards: 25 points (2% first-place votes)

    6. Miami Heat: 6 points (3% first-place votes)

Others receiving votes: Thunder, Bulls, Knicks, Warriors, Blazers

I think instead of playing into this sheat all season long, let’s all make a collective effort to embrace this kind of publicity. The media has no accountability anyway, so why do we take the time to listen and give them any attention. You know Westbrook gives 100 percent almost every night, so does Harden, tucker, Clint. They just make this stuff up based on conjecture. They’re just creating concerns for clickbait.

Pretty sure the offseason we acquired cp3 we got the number 1 spot in this same turmoil poll.

That season turned out pretty well minus the hamstring injury that potentially ruined a championship seeing as we were 1 win away from being in the finals against a very bad Cavs team.

Personally I think this team will start out on fire and win a lot of games, I’d be surprised barring an injury if the rockets arnt the 1 seed and maybe even the best record in the nba.

Gonna really come down to the playoffs.

Regular season? I don’t see this team having any problem winning 55+ games.

The Whole harden era has shown he by himself wins 50+ games. I don’t see why that would change seeing that from a talent and age factor Westbrook is the best player he’s played with in houston.

Cp3 imo is the better player if we got prime cp3 but we didn’t get prime cp3.

I look forward to James having someone join him in the Allstar game and also make an all nba team.

I think Russ has a great season. He just has to give the reign to harden full time once the playoffs star and if he can thrive in that secondary role then we can def win a title this season

"Turmoil City. Mark my words. Osama bin Harden shoot too much. And Russ too. Only one ball. They could fall out the playoffs, I wouldn't be surprised. Until Harden proves he can beat the Warriors I have no confidence in his ability to lead. Lebron and Kawhi have proven it. Teammates respect those guys. Nobody respects a guy jackin up shots or huntin for foul calls, and then givin you nothin on the defensive end. Nobody wanna play with a selfish guy like Harden. I fooly expect tension n drama in that lockerroom"

Well, to be honest, plenty of us wonder just how this will play out.

    Big success? We hope.

    Big turd? We hope not.

The difference being, you can always rely on ESPN to kind-a sort-a want us to fail. It's as if they collectively state, "Every time the Rockets win, a little part of me dies."

I know people are getting mad at Rockets number 1 but honestly I find it hilarious Washington is number 5. What is there to be turmoil about? They are going to suck and they're going to trade Beal. They are a typical bad team.

Rockets definitely has a lot of turmoil potential. Westbroon fit with Harden, MDA fitting offense around them, half the coaches replaced, how to get Westbrook and Harden to play defense with Bizdelik gone, very little depth and may have lots of roster upheaval. Let's not act like everything is good with this roster.

Houston coach Mike D'Antoni admitted last season that he resigned as head coach of the Knicks because of an ultimatum from Carmelo Anthony. With Anthony now on the verge of signing in Houston, it's easy to see why the Rockets landed on this list. How D'Antoni and Anthony coexist in this second act -- with Anthony essentially replacing a strong defender in Trevor Ariza -- will be one of the more intriguing storylines in the Western Conference.

It's worth noting that Anthony bristled last season at the suggestion that he should come off the bench with the Thunder. Although it seems likely that Anthony will start with the Rockets, how will Melo respond to being Houston's third option behind close friend Chris Paul and James Harden? And how will that response impact the ecosystem of a team that won 65 games last season? -- Begley

Daryl Morey's wizardry could ultimately result in Houston cementing its status as No. 1 contender to Golden State's burgeoning dynasty. Yet despite the growing confidence that James Harden and Chris Paul will figure it out, it's not a given. What if Harden and Paul, both of whom ranked in the top seven in time of possession last season, decide they'd rather have the rock? What if Paul's notoriously fiery on-court demeanor doesn't jibe with Harden?

The last time we felt bullish about the Rockets after a big move, it ultimately backfired as Harden butted heads with Dwight Howard. This time, Harden welcomes another high-profile player who happens to play the same position and does so after delivering easily the best season of his career. -- Adams

    (3rd) Rockets (6 votes)
Houston, you have a problem. Lots of them. Tracy McGrady is expected to miss the beginning of the season following microfracture surgery. Yao Ming is likely out for the entire season after foot surgery. And Ron Artest bolted for the Lakers via free agency. Yes, Trevor Ariza is a nice addition, and Luis Scola and Aaron Brooks are rising stars, but in the ultracompetitive West, that won't be enough.

So the turmoil is based off of the negative articles?

Which are written to get more hits, so that ESPN can make more money, so they can buy more drugs, so they can write more negative articles, so that they can get hits, so they can make more money, so they can buy more drugs, so they can write more negative articles, so they can get more hits, so they can make more money, so they can buy more drugs...wash, rinse, repeat as needed.

    Meanwhile LeBron...
    1. got shunned by both Kawhi and George in free agency in back-to-back offseasons.
    2. had his agent Rich Paul weasel his way to a trade for Davis, who also happens to be in a contract year.
    3. traded away Lakers' entire roster and draft picks, thus no one left to blame.
So yeah my money is on the Lakers LOLpalooza continuing this season. Can't wait for LeBron to trash Davis publicly when the Lakers struggle in the already ultra-competitive Western Conference.

i dont have a problem with this. the rockets are a wildcard, because westbrook is a wildcard. he had a lot of talent around him last year, but they underachieved largely because of westbrook himself. he literally had the worst volume shooting season in the history of the NBA, and chooses to jack up shots at the worst times.

on the bright side, i dont think he could possibly be any worse, especially since as good as PG was, james was and is still a better offensive player, and we have better shooters than they did there, and a better coach....however, we will probably be worse defensively.

what if westbrook DOES somehow shoot even worse, or just the same as last year, with just as bad decision making ? teammates may get frustrating with his style we might have terrible chemistry. you also have to factor in the situation with Mike D. he likely did not want this trade, and is on the hot seat. this is a recipe for turmoil, but hopefully it doesnt go that way.

Paul George has forced his way off of two teams in a row and Kawhi did the same thing to San Antonio two years ago. Strange how the Clippers have been painted as a match made in heaven while the Rockets are portrayed as a cigarette in an exhaust pipe.

All you people have been b****in about Westbrook for years... about how he's a crappy low efficiency chucker...
Now you add him to Harden - who obviously does not like to defer to others - and if he does defer, he may just take himself out of the play and go hang out at mid court... and we wont even go into the 'quit game' against SAS...
Meanwhile we have a stubborn lame duck coach who just saw a good number of asst coaches axed...
And we have 2 starters who want an extension - but folks on here are like "nawwww..." ..like that couldnt be an issue...

Obviously I hope it all works out and we win it all... but there's also a very real chance of this team imploding...

This is what DM referred to as a 'high risk' move... an 'all in' move if you will...

So quit being a bunch of homers crying bc ESPN doesnt love us... smh... lol
