    It has been clear to me for some time now, wihtout any bias, that Alvarez is having the second greatest offensive rookie season in the history of the game after Ichiro.

    Aaron Judge had an outstanding rookie season, plus he played a pretty good defense.

    McGwire hit .289/.370/.618

    Pete Alonso is hitting .265/.367/.596 right now.

    Ted Williams hit .327/.436/.609

    There are sooooo many great offensive rookie seasons to call 60 games the 2nd greatest. This is quite possibly the greatest first 60 games of a career (Rhys Hoskins comes to mind recently).
