There's nothing ridiculous about Reddick running, anyone would have run on that. Rays had been playing the infield in because they know with a JV game runs are at a premium. Might have been a bad play by the Rays not to try to get that out at home.
Rays cut-off man made the decision to go for Reddick rather than try and prevent the run from scoring. THEY, in essence, conceded the run there. Had the roles been reversed, I'm sure plenty would be criticizing Yuli for going for the out vs. letting there be a play at the plate, potentially preventing a run.
Only way that play is made at the plate was by a strong throw not by hitting the cut off. The cut off guy had no decision but throw out Reddick.
Charlie almost HBPs Bregs. Bregs responds in kind, then checks on friend. Pure. Even Morton can't stop Thordan Alpharez.
Chrinos was the runner... there's a large variety of throws that would have skipped through and got him. The cut-off man made a split second decision. It was a gamble either way.
Well this is a side of Morton that we would see from time to time. I’m good with it for sure. Chirinos!!!!
