For whatever you think about the Texans and how they’re currently ran, if we walk away with Tunsil for clowney, and get anything else on top of that it should be considered a successful transaction.
Amazing leverage tactic. Let's hope Fairbairn stays healthy. If not, BoB would trade Clowney for a kicker
If you get Tunsill that's huge. At that point you put your 4 most serviceable guys next to him and roll. Watson just has to duck and dodge some plays.
I thought the problem was that Clowney didn't want to sign with them next year? Which is insane if he really wants a megadeal: Miami's got something like 37.5 million in dead money on their books this year, which comes off next year. If they agreed to Tunsil for Clowney, I'd be ecstatic. I'd even throw in a pick or two.
Per PFT, they're trying to move Stills. Is he worth 15 or so for the next two years as Fuller/Coutee insurance? Played every game except 1 the last four years, so that's something he's better at than either of those two. I thought Miami was rebuilding? Good young OTs seem like the sort of thing you keep in a rebuild.
Don't know if he wants to go there or not but from the reporters who actually cover the Dolphins (and not these twitter 'insiders') suggest Tunsil is not available. And like the Dolphins trade their franchise LT who they have under control for a guy under contract for a year? Dolphins are rebuilding. They're not a Clowney away from anything. And whether it's Rosen or a QB in the 2020 draft, gonna need to protect him. Dolphins I'm sure would like him for a 2nd or 3rd and players they don't want (Kenny Stills, Kiko Alonso, Reshad Jones) but for Tunsil? Probably not.
