For the 3rd time....Luhnow said yesterday on 790 that Tucker will not be called up prior to 9/1 and probably not prior to the Express being done with the AAA playoffs.
Wow. I can see waiting for Sept 1 as Astros don't have room for an OF. Tucker has had a meh year, but Reddick...
The club transaction log over the last 10 days is quite impressive. 9 promotions 6 demotions 4 DL trips 1 DL return 1 DFA Tune in tomorrow to see what pitchers get swapped.
This has been a really strange 48 hours... They promote Straw - and not Tucker; Mayfield - and not Toro. They play one game; Mayfield and Straw both go 0-3 and, citing a need to score more runs, Luhnow promotes Toro and leaves his prized prospect at AAA....... I officially don't get what they're doing with Kyle Tucker. They won't promote him but he's too valuable to trade. Meanwhile, again, citing a need to score more runs, Reddick and Straw remain on the Major League roster.
They will never trade or promote him. He will be left untouched in Round Rock, like the formal living room that your mom would never let anyone in.
Sounds about right. My formal living room furnitures have been untouched in 15 years. Still look brand new. About Tucker, is Luhnow treating Tucker the same way he did to Springer?
They're not going to DFA Reddick at this point in the season, and Straw is your backup SS. Tucker will be up here in 9 days.
He'd never be as good as Montana Manning though. Except that sound like a 19 year old stripper and not a QB.
