This is me. 2 bad knees needing eventual knee replacements I can directly attribute to playing year-round sports. Oddly enough, football is the only one I never got hurt playing, other than 1 concussion, but those don't count, right? Oddly enough, football is the only one I never got hurt playing.

    https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sp...-Pressly-to-undergo-knee-surgery-14370834.php

The surgery is expected to sideline Pressly for four to six weeks. Luhnow was optimistic Pressly could pitch in major league games prior to the postseason but acknowledged that was looking at the situation as “glass half full.”

Team physicians picked up a “small issue” on their most recent images of Pressly’s knee, Luhnow said, something that was not present during his first stint on the injured list.

Other than to clarify it is not a fracture, Luhnow declined to elaborate on what the “small issue” was.

“I do think it’s a relatively small issue but it does have to be addressed,” Luhnow said.

    Damn!!

Would hate if he has to work through the rustiness in a playoff game.

Food for thought: AA/AAA playoffs are both ending around the 2nd week of September. No chance for a live rehab assignment after that unless it's in Florida.

Good lord... can you imagine what the fans of the rest of the league would say if they read that??
For fuc*s sake. The poor us, weak minded groupthink is infuriating.

Not even a top 5 importance guy is out a few weeks, probably back in time for playoffs and most of yall are acting like we aren't still a juggernaut.

If the Yankees can play through a metric f*ckton of injuries, we can too.

    Word. I'm staying positive here.

Partly because it was too early to start drinking when I read this news at 11am.

At least we get to test our relievers now and see if anyone can step up.

I extend my full middle finger your way. Both of them, in fact. Police your own posts.

If you had said "not MY year" that would make sense.

But to say "not OUR year," as if you speak for the team and all its fans, you invite responses like mine.
