Injured Astros updates

This does seem kind of odd? I know they sent him down to get a fresh arm, but why not bring him back up now? It's been 8 days.

 

He's not injured / rehabbing and we know he's a functional MLB reliever. I wouldn't think they'd care about the results of a random AAA outing?

 

Reddick seems the choice, but Mayfield interestingly is listed on the Astros.com depth chart as the backup there.

 

So by my count, 19 guys have pitched for us so far this month. It will be 20 if Framber makes an appearance.

Sneed is on his 5th promotion, with one more likely demotion/promotion still to come.

 

Like I said, Biagini pitched yesterday so wouldn’t be available today. It wouldn’t surprise me if Sneed pitches an inning tonight and is replaced by Biagini tomorrow.

We might have identified Correa massage therapist. His name is James Jefferson.

 

I am not sure why they are not giving Tucker a shot. Time to see what he can do. Correa is a big bat missing. Maybe if it was an outfielder that was injured we would see him .

On the plus side, I hear Sneed has enough frequent flyer miles to fly around the World in 40 days this offseason.

 

James pitches today. Maybe called up this weekend. Sanchez, Peacock out and status unknown until they can play catch. Peacock wants to pitch through pain, team says no. Correa not this weekend.

 

I wonder if they would let Peacock pitch if the pennant race was tighter...

 

With postseason close, it will be interesting to see how Peacock handles it. May be tempted to not admit pain next time, but that would be hard since he hasn't hit FA, so big risk if he suffers further injury.

 

Peacock isn't pitching well hurt. Not sure they would want him pitching like he has in a pennant race over Cy Yoyo.
