Good question... So yeah, if they play terribly, basically finish behind 2 other Americas team, they will have to play in a qualifying tournament...if they are the 16 of best remaining teams. This could be troublesome if they have to play in a tourney to qualify because who knows who will show up for that. That would be the big fear because as we've seen it's not been easy getting the best players to play basketball during their offseason. Also, that tourney starts right after the finals, the qualifying for the Olympics, so it's really not favorable to the NBA schedule. But simply losing, placing 2nd or 3rd, likely still gets them in the tourney unless the 2nd and first place teams are Canada and Argentina or something.

The chinese fans are acting like they have never watched a bball game before. I had the fiba stream of Jordan- Greece in the background and kept hearing all loud ooohhh and ahhh I was like wtf is going on in that game? Is it that exciting?
