Yeah this way is so much better where their realistic options are:

    1. Clowney showing up to play for a team that doesn't want him and he isn't motivated to help them get better. That never goes well.
    2. Clowney sits out the whole year and the Texans defense suffers
    3. Clowney is traded for the same compensation as the new backup RB.

They could have controlled #1 and #3. Contrast that with the Duane Brown situation. There was very little noise about his hold out. All we heard was that the Texans wanted and needed him to play. Not a lot of reports of trade talks until the trade was imminent; that played into how much draft capital the Texans were able to get back. The team suffered without him, and still are suffering, but a 3rd and a 2nd was a huge return. Duane wasn't even on the franchise tag but he was on the last year of his deal.

I actually liked Roderick coming out of Florida State but he didn't seem to do well when he got drafted by the Browns.

Why can't Franchise still look as good as he did when he was 21? What a bum.

Kinda answer your own question, the Browns.

Yeah I have nothing against him really. It just says more about the state of our O-Line, that a guy we signed to our practice squad looks as good or better than the only LT acquisition that we made in Free Agency.

Didn't we draft him out of Kentucky/USC awhile back down the Rhode?

What does having puffy cheeks have to do with being on drugs?

His problem was alcohol and its his eyes that are puffy. Have you seen a drunk in the early day?

Oh I thought you were referring to the alleged crack smoking he was "doing" a while back.

Yeah, this sentence can pretty much be a template for the last 20 years.

"I actually liked [insert any player name here] coming out of [insert any college name here] but he didn't seem to do well when he got drafted by the Browns."
