Capela would be a more athletic Asik if he didn't play next to Harden. He'd get paid 10mil a year at the most. The worst part is no one out there offered Capela a contract and Morey still went out of his way to overpay for him, just like he did Anderson and CP3. When no other team wants to pay those players for that much, then why overpay on purpose? This mindset needs to change especially with Tilman at the helm.
The guy fits our defense perfectly. Also if you underpay him, he might not play hard for you. Underpaid people rarely exceed their own abilities at the beginning of a contract. Keeping people happy matters. So I'm not sure we overpaid for him overall, but I agree that the market might have yielded different results had he been on it.
Lol you really think anybody will go out on perimeter to defend capela? He cant hit ft consistently with his feet set lol
That guy is trying way too hard, there's nothing that 100% illustrates added muscle or anything in there. Seems pretty much the old Capela. That first seal off the opponent was nice though.
Of course not with his current skills. I think he'll probably become a decent FT shooter this season, and a shaky 3pt shooter the following season. Takes time.
