We are the richest and most powerful. There’s a reason why the US economy has outpaced our developed peers and a reason why we are the wealthiest. Only fools like Trump look at the trade deficit like a score card.
Interesting.... I would have assumed you were a middle aged man with your outdated views of the economy and trade.
No, it was not. TPP did not include China. This was actually an amusing part of Trump's campaign when he didn't know that China wasn't included.
The index is down lately. Overall it's been on the rise if you look long term. Not really a great indicator of how things are overall either way. More so I said it for humor... you know.. that thing you abandoned long ago.
A trade deficit is fine - it is hilarious seeing people thinking that is an indicator of the country doing poorly. DD
It's amusing to me that Trump supporters would say he's not to blame. The only things hurting markets right now are Trump creations. Trump declared a trade war on nearly the entire world and weakened global economies and has inflated the debts and deficits, yet somehow it's not going to be his fault.
The path of the TAO is a long one with many hills and valleys to both find and receive the Master Key (MK Ultra) that unlocks all your potential growth.
Well Trump and: The decreasing value of human labor with automation in a rapidly rising population Wealth inequality and the stagnation of money flows Heighting impacts of climate change i.e. increasing water shortages, drought effects on agriculture The devaluation of natural resources i.e. all that easy money that has been just sucked from the Earth (Houston)
And even funnier, trump's most recent flailing around has only increased the trade deficit with China... U.S. Goods Trade Deficit With China Reaches Five-Month High By Katia Dmitrieva August 2, 2019, 7:30 AM CDT https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...de-deficit-with-china-reaches-five-month-high
Crashing the economy so consumers can't buy anything is a good way to lower the trade deficit with China.
Ugh on Taiwan not being called Taiwan... Does make you wonder why Trump was against it, oh, that is right, Obama.
Right, he opposed it simply because "Obama bad!" Rand Paul actually called him out on this in a debate and joked (on stage) that a moderator needed to point out that what Trump was saying was a lie. He repeatedly said on stage that we gave China "everything they asked for" in TPP and he would be tougher on them and get a new deal.
