How many more AB’s does Alvarez needed to qualify for batting title?

If not for injuries and Alvarez being called up later, we legitimately could've had 6 or 7 guys with 25 +Hrs and 100 RBIs.. That's insane

There might be more Astros fans in Camden than Oriole fans today.️ Stadium's empty.

Too many. He needs an average of 3.1 plate appearance per game (502 over a 162 game season). Coming into this game, he had 192 PAs. With 45 games left, he'd need to average 6.9 PAs.

But, make no mistake, this guy will win a triple crown some day when he gets a full season.

Important nitpick. It's 502 plate appearances. Otherwise, you could potentially BB your way out of contention.

LOL. Who woulda thunk it was possible- an AL pitchers jersey getting dirty?

Holy **** the Baltimore Orioles are batting their way into a early exit for Verlander.

    Baseball I guess.

I can't tell if JV's particularly off (he seems to be, somewhat) or if the Orioles are just up there free swinging and not batting with any sort of caution, and it's working to their advantage. Looks like it's both.

What a dive by JV. That saved a run from scoring.

Every decent contact the Orioles have made has been a hit. A little on JV, a lot on balls finding grass.

With this pitch count, Verlander is going to gas himself before hell qualify for the win.

Seriously. Not a good day for the WHIP so far. Needs to get 2 more clean innings and hope the team hangs on for the W.
