Pitching showed up for the most part. That Alvarez flyout that should've been a HR hurts but at least he had an RBII.
The Astros are two wins from being able to play .500 rest of the season to get to a 100 wins. My friend was telling depending on how the Astros do for the rest of the season they will end up at about the 3rd best all-time three season run in baseball history. And that if they can get 100 wins next year it will be the single best four year run for total wins in baseball history.
Certainly closer than one would have hoped, but you don't get style points. Those early 90's jerseys are amazing, just the right mix of color without being as excessive as the sunrise uni's. I never liked the pullovers, but the button ups are a masterpiece.
It was just an odd thing for him to write so I was curious as to why it should have been a home run since it clearly should not have been a home run.
Apparently 80% of balls with that exit velocity / launch angle are home runs. It was 103+ MPH off the bat per the broadcast.
Blummer said Statcast showed that ball should have traveled about 20 feet more, 80% chance of being a HR.
That was the first inning I watched tonight, so after I read his post, I went back through the play by play to make sure there wasn’t another ball he hit that an outfielder made a play on.
all the times this season was over... Mariners start hot. A's kept winning, Jose runs a 30 second 40yrd dash I saw it on a fan's Motto L6! Daniela breaks Carlos, We can't beat the reds! What is eating Tyler White. Just a few of the dramatic moments.
Only listened to the first two runs and then got busy. Was surprised the Astros only scored one more run after. O well at the end of the day a win is a win
