The Texans think he can be the starter clearly

Love this trade; been calling for it all offseason but seemed a little steep

Just saying if it cost a 3rd round for a disgruntled back up running back who was no use to the Browns. I wonder what a first round gets O Brien.... starting kicker ?

Splash!.. Those 6 receptions per game for 27 yards are gonna make us the envy of the league:rolleyes: Especially when half of those are gonna be on 3rd and long...lol

Very very solid pick up. Understandably some will be down on the move cause they will be down on literally everything the Texans do, but getting a cheap, way above average 3rd down back for a 4th round pick is a good move. If it becomes a 3rd it probably means Duke is playing well for us.

I hate this move. This is a perfect example of short-term thinking by the nonexistent front office and could have been resolved with any kind of planning prior to the draft and free agency

No you said he was injury prone and he’s never missed a game.

Gordon is the one who’s injury prone.

They gave up too much. Duke is worth a 6th round pick.

Duke is active for games but doesn’t mean he plays every game.

What's the point of getting him if were just going to run him up the middle on 3rd and long lol.

I love this trade. Johnson is a talented multi purpose back who has been stuck in a crap situation that has depressed his opportunity and value. His contract is reasonable and if he flames out he can be cut loose next year with little dead money.

So who would you propose they had drafted, let's say in the 3rd or 4th round, instead of making this trade? Or who should they have signed that would be comparable and around the same price?

Genuine question. Duke is only 25 years old btw.

And that doesn’t mean he’s hurt or injury prone

So being injured right now is injury prone?
