Everyone shouldn't assume that Danny Green is going to replicate last season. He really isn't that great a shooter at this point.
I didn't know what a stress reaction was, so I had to look it up. Here's the explanation: Stress Reaction Versus Stress Fracture A stress reaction is the precursor to a stress fracture. While at the stress-reaction stage, the bone structure is breaking down and becoming weaker, but does not actually contain any fracture. A stress fracture means the structure of the bone has been compromised by a crack or fracture. source: https://www.active.com/running/articles/5-phases-of-stress-fracture-recovery
Dwight is having an amazing comeback year. The turnaround he has made truly is remarkable. If you guys don't know, you should really pay attention.
a lot of people here thought the lakers wouldn't make the playoffs. now it's onto whether or not they drop out of the #1 seed
I think they will make it if ad and lebron stay healthy... it would be nice from them to drop to 8 th seed or something for me not to look too bad tho
Lakers should have traded for Chris Paul last summer. Point guard is their biggest weakness right now. Rondo is plain terrible and LeBron is overworked trying to play the only creator in that lineup. All-Star Chris Paul would solve so many of these issues and would also play an excellent clutch 4th quarter closer as he has done well all season -- something Kuzma failed to develop into. This was the all-in move that needed to happen with LeBron's title window and possible career only being 2 more years. Lakers front office really messed up signing their own free agents to small bargain deals. Right now the Lakers cap is only $120,598,122. Rob Pelinka should have signed Caldwell-Pope, McGee, Rondo to bigger one-year deals so he could match salaries and absorb a bigger contract like Chris Paul in a trade. That's what Morey would have done. Once you're over the salary cap, it's better to be closer the luxury tax line with bigger contracts to deal instead of in the middle with nothing to trade. Lakers have $12,028,878 in available luxury tax space. They should have max out their cap especially being the most financially successful franchise in the league. Simply doubling the current salaries of Lakers re-signed free agents and plugging them in a package of... Caldwell-Pope -- $8,089,282 (16,178,564) McGee -- $4,000,000 (8,000,000) Rondo -- $2,564,753 (5,129,506) Cousins -- 3,500,000 Kuzma -- $1,974,600 Total -- 34,782,670 + 2020 first round pick That should have been enough to acquire Chris Paul ($38,506,482) at the trade deadline. OKC and Sam Presti would have happily taken Kuzma and a first round pick to move on, clear their cap, and rebuild around Shai Gilgeous-Alexander + all the picks coming their way from the Clippers and Rockets over the next 5 years. Paul Bradley Green LeBron Davis Howard, Caruso, Cook, Dudley, etc. That's an excellent starting lineup with a decent bench, which the Lakers could have further improved in the buyout market or via Collison, etc As it stands right now, Lakers have no ability to make such a deal even this upcoming offseason because of the shortsightedness of Rob Pelinka -- who as Harden's former agent -- should have called Morey and asked for some advice.
