Mad Max looks ripped enough to still play.

We’re the new warriors since the warriors lost a warrior, so we can do that. You know the play I’m talkin bout.

I was about to ask how old is Mad Max. It looks like he can still ball NBA-level.

I wonder how his workout look like.

Part of me still can't forgive Maxwell for walking out on us when we were trying to defend the title but he helped get our first one so I can still give him a pass.

    we should be excited.

we won 53 games last year and now you factor in:

    • westbrook playing 15 more games than paul.
    • no melo drama to start the season.
    • no paul/harden drama towards the end of the season.
    • a defensive coach from the start of the season, including training camp which bzdelik missed.
    • a coach who can add some adelman/princeton offense
    • rivers for the whole season, including training camp.
    • house for the whole season, including training camp.
i believe we can approach 60 wins again. even if you believe each of the above improvements only lead to 1 win each.

i'm not excited about how many minutes and games MDA will make harden, russ, tucker, and ego play. I'm not excited about the lack of depth. i think if they add another rotation player via shumpert S&T or buyouts later in the year i think we can work our way back up to 65 wins. i'm annoyed they didn't just sign someone with the MLE so we can have that depth/talent from day 1 leading to more wins over 82 games, and i'm annoyed they won't spend the tax to make us clearly the favorites, but we can't be mad with a potential 60 win team.

I'd love for us to sign him and let him play a few minutes in an exhibition game.

I share your enthusiasm about how good we can be, but 60 wins will be tough for any team in the West. The balance from 1-6 is so good, and even down through 8 or 9. I feel for the Suns, because someone is going to have to take a bunch of Ls from all those good teams.

There has been no point in my life where I looked even remotely as physically fit as a 53 year old Vernon Maxwell. I'm hoping I'll be able to compete with an 85 year old Vernon Maxwell though.

we say the west is a bloodbath every year. the nba is more top heavy now with the lakers, clippers, sixers, jazz... maybe we lose 1 more game to each. but we're better, so maybe its even. 53 wins. more teams got worse around the nba than better. thunder, warriors, raptors, pelicans, bucks....

we might play other contenders pretty closely but i expect a lot of season sweeps of everyone else.

I could see Max getting excited about Westbrook. Russ definitely has some Mad Max to his game.
