I sometimes close my eyes and wished we had baller like Balmer who was the "governor" of the Houston Rockets. Unlimited Luxury Tax Dollars, no bullshit PR speak to the media without backing it up, actually knows that a winning NBA team is costly BEFORE purchasing the team. We'd definitely would have an Iggy type player by now if Balmer was in charge and we'd actually go all-in instead of dancing around the luxury tax every year until our star player's prime is over.
The Rockets won two championships The trophies are in Florida If you feel this is good then delete your accounts and your alternate accounts now This second
Les took them when he sold the team https://www.chron.com/sports/rocket...er-sold-the-Rockets-but-kept-the-12544913.php
I am too young to personally recall, but I am aware of the Pippen situation, and Barkley. I figured I'd keep the names within the last 5 years though, the list becomes too large going back 20, or further. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php...hated-on-cf’s-right-now.300736/#post-12558498
Scottie Pippen sent the franchise into the dark ages This was suppose to be him showing that he could lead a team without Jordan. Also he was a max player and someone had to sacrifice his salary to sign, that was Barkley who signed for league minimum. That’s like Chris Paul signing for 2 million. Never will happen again. He forced a trade and insulted the team. Because he forced a trade we got nothing good in return . Like Walt Williams etc We sucked for so long after that .
Pippen getting killed by Kobe then blaming rookie Cuttino Mobley enraged Rockets fans I’m so glad Robert Horry daggered threes on him When the lakers played Portland Pippen followed by Les Alexander ruining the uniforms for decades
Barkley dissing the Rockets on TNT is based on events of Pippen here That traces back to Les not paying him back end money for sacrificing his salary to sign Pippen The Rockets having not sniffed the conference finals ties back to Pippen being a failure A massive domino effect
It's crazy how Royce white, who never played a game for us, is still hated several years later. That being said, I still hate that guy over the others on this list.
Yes pretty much the team that was built by the previous team and owner. Then you know about his changing of the uniforms. Dude never cared about the fans input. EVER.
There are a few players on this list I didn't know people even still held ill will towards now that they are no longer Rockets. Corey Brewer, Jeremy Lin, Ryan Anderson.... Meanwhile Scottie Pippen and Tracy McGrady aren't on this list. Or, for that matter, Russell Westbrook. He's already my choice and he hasn't played in a game yet.
