https://www-m.cnn.com/2019/07/31/politics/ronald-reagan-richard-nixon-monkeys-african-countries/index.html?r=https://www.cnn.com/ Doesn’t look good. A republican hero a racist. Who knew Reagan and Trump had a lot in common
He appears to be frustrated at the situation and he was speaking with Nixon after all so no I don't believe Reagan was racist.
By todays standard, pretty much everybody was racist 50 years ago. And by standards of 50 years ago, everybody was racist as hell 100 years ago. And so on and so forth. It's called progress. If you want to judge someone from 50 years ago, you need to judge them relative to other people of 50 years ago.
Let's see, the two architects of the Republican "Southern Strategy" - both with a long history of explicitly and implicitly racist behavior Hold on, let me get my detectives on this one Yep, looks like they're racist. Then as well as now.
Eh...people say a lot of horrible things when they are frustrated and mad and are with people they are comfortable around. It isn't always indicative of what they believe. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't.
While I don't believe Reagan was a racist, the democrat who signed the civil rights act was definitely a racist.
His statement was racist. He had no problem vetoing the sanctions against Apartheid which was absolutely racist. I don't know if Reagan was or not.
Reagan without a doubt. What racist statements or acts did 44 do? Reagan's campaign also started the false welfare Cadilac Queen stereotype.
Reagan ACTED Racist... He was the main one that destroyed the Black Panthers.. A group of young men at that time that was doing a lot for their community..... T_Man
I thought they were just in group that were exercising their second amendment rights fighting government tyranny of African Americans.
