Sarcasm with a hint of fact …. Do you really think they go into the season with these 16 - including Ponds , Clemons and McDowell-White? All 3 are point guards …. I cant see it , has to be a couple moves made between now and the start of the season.
They might take them to training camp and see if anyone's extra-motivated to get to this level. Remember, the Luxury Tax isn't determined until the last day of the season.
Houston needs to upgrade small forward, otherwise Houston cannot win champion without trading existing starters.
I hope you don't believe the Rockets luxury 767 would have 600 seats. It'd have maybe 60 with tons of space.
davis was picked up to add a NG contract that can be traded or waived for free. no trades came up that needed him so he's gone. chiozza i think played well in the summer and was waived because he may have a shot elsewhere / rockets avoiding paying any of the guaranteed money. i like that this opens up some roster spots for more vet FA signings. i'd be very happy with sefalosha, jerebko, livingston, carter... i don't want to count on 2 of green, mclemore, clark, bennet, harty earning 12-24mpg. we need another 1-2 proven vets.
Was hoping this was just an awful nightmare that would go away when I awoke. Sadly, it is not: Chris Chiozza is indeed gone. This season will be tough.
This is true, but Vincent was a 2nd round pick. Not someone we picked up off waivers or as FA trade fodder.
I dont think none of these guys make it. I would bring in jlin...n I'm not a big lin fan. I rather have him then all the rookie leaguers. With the rockets I guess load management, another quality vet point when Austin is in the starter spot would make sense. Jlin in the backup point role on harden/russ nights off
