That's not how it works man. He put teams on his no trade that he thinks he COULD be traded to. Gives him the leverage in approving a deal, asking for an extension, etc....really has nothing to do with places he doesn't want to play
Cool. But I’m sure you’re glad that JV waive his no trade clause to come to Astros right? No doesn’t mean no. It just mean the player get to choose what contention teams he want to get trade to in my opinion.
Bad feeling we aren't going to be able to do anything of note. Market is small and we won't overpay- and I don't want us to.
I would think the opposite. Astros are down a player with Marisnick suspended tonight. If Astros add a pitcher, they would be down two players. With Pressly unavailable, they could be down 3 players.
Pretty sure Pressly has to be going to the IL. They said he worked out yesterday, but weren't all that optimistic about how he felt. Then Harris still gets the 8th in a 2-0 game after an off day. If he's not going to be right to pitch in that sort of a game, after an off day, he's probably going to need more than 2-3 days.
Was thinking about this myself, gonna need to clear 3 to add Sanchez, Biagini and Greinke. Abreu and Sneed seem the obvious moves, not certain on the 3rd move. Does Devinski still have options? Maybe he goes down for a month? This then becomes more complex when you consider Peacock, James and Pressley will need to be added back at some point. A nice problem to have, I guess.
I imagine Urquidy gets sent down tonight regardless of how well he pitches. Don't need 5 starters with the days off. September isn't that far away, I'm pretty sure we can just play musical chairs with the DL.
Maybe the new “southern evil empire”....I mean we harness the stats, fill the gaps and go after it with an eye on the future rather then just making it rain.....I like it
I like having Correa ahead of Yordan at this stage of their career. Putting too much pressure on a Rookie especially come playoff time.
