I thought he wasn't, but now I realize that this is a subtle move to acquire Thon Maker.

Pretty much this. They can sell whatever they want but actions speak louder than words. I was willing to give them a long leash, give them the benefit of the doubt but until we see real depth moves, not buying it.

Morey and Tilman have the luxury in James Harden. That his amazing talents can buoy this team and they can throw these minimum guys on there and *get by.* It can work in the regular season, but in the playoffs they need 8 playoff rotation worthy guys if they want to win a championship.

    So, moving forward we'll see.

Just a reminder that Tilman owns one of the most profitable teams in the NBA, which is a more profitable industry than most industries in the world.

He is imposing more stringent than ever cost cutting on a GM who was already top 2 in the NBA at wins per dollar. It's total non sense. This team did not have an overspending problem. It had a problem retaining top tier stars and role players simultaneously. Now it has that problem + lack of resources + we have to overcome an owner who wants to run this franchise like a fish hut.

Clint (+ Shump S&T) for Love brings back an additional $14 million in salary over the tax threshold. That will cost $26 million in luxury tax. Do we think Tilman wants to pay an extra $40 million per year to have Love instead of Clint?
