That patella injury ended his career. He lost all his quickness and lateral movement since then.

Not a bad career. 99.99999% of people on the planet would be ecstatic if they could do what he did.

Why is this in the Rockets thread? He was trash when he was with us and he's trash now. Take your ring and do something else with your life Mr. Lin.

I do feel for him. He should at least be a 15th man somewhere. Inspecting the box of Shipley's before the rookies take it to practice: "Where's the coconut? Coach likes coconut, I told you."

Used the talent he had and lots of good foreign to piecemeal a better than average career. Linsanity is one of the coolest things that ever happen in all of sports.

he lost his first step. without that, his shooting and ball handling simply not good enough to stay in nba as a verteran. he should play in china, prob make more money

I think his confidence has taken a hit along with his injuries and once coaches lost trust, he just never did well enough to prove them wrong. At least he’s a champion and frankly I’m tired of his victim attitude. Do something about it or shut it.

It happens. Ask Steve Francis. Ask Anthony Bennett. Ask Jimmer Fredette. Ask Adam Morrison.

If you aren't improving you're falling behind.

The most notable exception to this rule has always been (mystifyingly) Chandler Parsons.

Being good isn't good enough anymore.. Look at Faried... Pretty much a guaranteed double double when given the minutes and he remains unsigned. If you're a guard that doesn't shoot the 3 very well or a big that doesn't play defense, you aren't going to be highly sought after unless you're ELITE at something else. I feel for him, he needs to just go to China and make tons. He still has a career of bball to play somewhere.

Exactly. He needs to ask himself which team has a starting or backup PG that he could beat out for a spot?

    Jimmer falls in a faint.

Adam Morrison: 7.5 ppg, .331 3 point shooting, 161 games played - $16.9M NBA earnings
Jimmer Fredette: 6.0 ppg, .372 3 point shooting, 241 games played - $8.6M NBA earnings
Anthony Bennett: 4.4 ppg, .261 3 point shooting, 151 games played - $18.2M NBA earnings
    Jeremy Lin - 11.6 ppg, .342 3 point shooting, 480 games played - $65.8M NBA earnings
Chandler Parsons: 12.8 ppg, .373 3 point shooting, 435 games played - $126.9M NBA earnings

Parsons is a con man and that's all there is to it.

Lin has had more than his share of chances. There are so many hundreds of Scott Machados, Trevon Duvals, Chris Clemons in the world that have some game but won't get $5M from NBA teams.
