Nah they don't have a choice at this point. If they thiught he wasnt worth the max they should have traded him at the start of the season or the deadline.

But tbh Simmons' only flaw is shooting. If Giannis can develop a 3 pt shot so can he.

:eek::eek:So Benji Simmons stat line tonight:

    6 points
    9 rebounds
    5 assists
    5 personal fouls

    In 26 minutes.

That is definitely worth $168 million.

    Battier is a career 38% 3pt shooter.

If Simmons could shoot 28% from 3, Philly fans would sing hallelujah!

Don't insult Shane. He's a good 3&D player who can actually shoot.

I was joking. I know Battier is better. That is why I said "Drunk, Rich Man" when the commonly used phrase is "poor man's" to describe a player nearly as good.

I was saying he is overrated and even drunk guy knowing nothing would take Battier.

The argument is always "he has all the tools, we just have to get him to improve".

Exactly like saying "my business has inventory, we just need customers".

    Not worth investing $168M.

$168M. Damn. You put that in startups with super massive valuations. In basketball you pay it to an athlete who can't shoot the basketball. Crazy stuff.

Simmons might be better off as a small ball center. If he afraid to shoot being Amare Stoudamire 2.0 could be his best bet.

Trying to remain as a wing or a guard when he afraid to shoot the ball is just dumb.

76ers could have had anyone in that 2016 draft.

Brandon Ingram. Jaylen Brown. Domantas Sabonis. Jamal Murray. Caris Levert. Pascal Siakam. Dejounte Murray. Malcolm Brogdon.

Any one of those 8 players would have contributed more to Philly's chances, than Ben tonight.

He needs to go to a small town team where there are low expectations like Orlando or OKC or Charlotte. The bright lights are affecting him mentally
