he doesnt have to change a lot...harden just need a little help...harden can do it alone... he almost proved it (were it not for the refs) last year with almost nonexistent cp3

These guys are a joke... This isn't how basketball works... if you play 4 on 5 you always lose... no NBA player on WB's level cares if they miss open 3's they will continue to make the right play

you really cant say either way how this is going to look until they actually hit the court.

i hope james is willing to play off the ball a bit more, even though he is the better passer. we all know WB is not a good shooter, but he could be dangerous coming down hill with james and ego spacing on the wings, and tuck in the corner. id kill for a stretch 5 for these two.

we can also hopefully generate more baskets in transition from him pushing the pace.

only time will tell if WBs strengths can outweigh cp3 ability to shoot in this offense.

Yes thats what fans usually hope for. What evidence do you have that he may not be a different player? It’s a wait and watch for everyone but us fans are hoping for the best and counting on the fact that under different organisation, coach, players etc team will thrive. At least he is not like Carmelo Anthony. Besides some questionable knucklehead plays, Westbrook is a proven elite athlete that has consistently delivered stats and at the same time taken his team to playoffs with limited star power and average supporting core. You cant deny he has talent.

Curious if anyone has an actual breakdown of his assisted three % verse unassisted %. Other than Morey I mean.

If we're going to see Harden and Westbrook non-committed to setting picks, playing defense and especially with their hands on their knees watching the other go to work, then I don't ever want to hear anyone defend Harden and Westbrook for that matter. It would be the ultimate proof they are not committed to winning at all cost.

The narrative before WB joined Houston was that he was a low IQ ball hog who couldn't shoot but filled up the box scores.

When he got traded to Houston, a whole bunch of homers started changing their tone saying that he would fit well. Anyone with a functioning brain knew he was going to be a disaster.

If Rondo can develop a three point game so can a former MVP.

I'd wish/pray that this is true but there's a very clear gap between Rondo's basketball IQ and Russ' that's preventing me from thinking it'll ever happen.

He's no better than Melo was 2-3 years ago. Not a teachable guy and very stubborn in his ways because of his ego. Dead weight the Rockets are stuck with. He's not good enough and neither does he have the attitude to change up to help the team win.

Yes sir, I knew - said as much.

Westbrook is a great guy off the court, have a lot of respect, but he gets by on just playing hard during the regular season, probably the worst MVP in history as far as skills go.

Wasn’t even truly deserving of the mvp so no he can’t develop a shot. It’s been broken for a long time. Rondo is a high iq pg. westbrick is dumb and low iq
