https://www-ridiculousupside-com.cd...-raptors-raptors-905-rio-grande-valley-vipers We had this kid in our control, we should have known he was on verge of breaking out as he was playing for Vipers. How did Rockets miss the analytics upside on Bruno, never mind the perfect fit. 42% beyond arc, average 2 blocks & 1 steal, switch everything defender with 7'7 wingspan??? Instead of trading FRP in SnT trade for Iggy, trade 2 SRP for Bruno. Grizz are loveroaded at 3/4/5. And Bruno is behind 4-5 drafted players right now.
Too bad we had to keep Chriss last year instead so we could try to milk something out of that contract. Bruno was obviously the more NBA-ready of the two.
Who's talking about legends? Talking about young long versatile wing/big who would complement our stars. Not even saying Bruno is a starter.
Let's trade multiple draft picks for Bruno and Covington. Because you want tk be the team that finds Parsons, not the one that pays him a max contract. But when that doesn't work, you want to be the team that finds a player, let's him go to another team, then trades draft assets to get that player back.
I blame D'Antoni for not giving him a true chance. I was pumped when we signed him but the coach screwed him. Now im pumped about Bennett based on harden and westbrook's playmaking ability, bennett's explosiveness, and his 43 + % 3pt stroke on 4 + attempts a game.
Rockets were the team that found or re-found both Covington and Bruno. But only Covington will be costly to re-aquire. Bruno is a rotational player on Grizz, will not take much to get him. Are you one of Tilly's illegitimate sons or something? Money not coming out of your pocket otherwise. Goal is to field a championship team with players that maximize system as well as the 2 MVPs leading the team.
He was still a below average player even though obviously it was his best year. And for a team with rebounding problems - Rockets - his rebounding is atrocious. I really really really HATE the term stretch 4 these days. Because what it really means is a SF that is big enough to play PF, or a small PF that doesn't have real PF skills but can hit the occasional three. at least in someone like Kevin Love's case - a TRUE stretch 4 - sure his defense sucks, but he grabs nearly 20 boards per 100 possessions. Which is twice the rate of Bruno's "breakout" 34 games. Obviously, Love is a whole another level... I'm just certainly not crying over the fact that we let Bruno go.
Well, good news. The Grizzlies may have to let him go if they can't find a taker for IGGY quickly and are intent on not buying him out. His guarantee date is later and I'm not sure he has a spot on their roster. I was furious last year when they let him go because he looked great every time he got minutes in pre-season. I think we may have a chance to resign him long term using the remainder of the Tax Payer's MLE.
Too be fair, MCW looked decent in the preseason. Clutchfans was delighted to have found their Shaun Livingston. I don't remember Ennis anymore, but we definitely expected more from him.
Just because they're fast and athletic doesn't make them a good basketball player either... Signed Russ
Yeah let's trade assets for a guy we had under control.....and let walk because we needed a roster spot for another human pacifier for Harden.... And some of us did know he was ready to break out.... http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/rockets-need-to-sign-bruno-asap.294689/ Just like some of us knew House Jr. was ready a year and a half ago and we should've signed him then and been on the 3rd season of his minimum deal... http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/a-house-a-home.286727/
