He got hurt in the playoffs 2 years ago and never came back close to the same. His lift was completely gone. DD

Two thoughts come to mind. Isn't there a CF poster who knows Nene pretty well? Remember the contract that had to be voided because it was too long for his age. Not even getting thru the revamped one.
And yet he was still really good in the playoffs. Both years. No way he couldn’t have played 20 MPG this past postseason. This guy is a world class athlete. The working out he does before games is far more strenuous than any game where he gets 4 mins at a time.
Nene should have been a Rocket earlier, closer to his prime. Was a Morey target for so many years. Such a great combo of power and shooting touch. All class on and off the court too. Miss him already.
Would love for @Codman to chime in on this if he can. He's been so close with Nene for all these years. Sad to see Nene walk away from the team, he still had something left in the tank and we could still use him next to Chandler as Clint's backups.
