Fake news. Clippers were never going to offer Paul the max. If anything, he saw how desperate we were and knew that all he had to do is put up one good year to get from us what no other team was desperate enough to offer.
It's ****ed up, but thats business. Things are never guaranteed, that's why I laugh at people when they are all mad that players aren't loyal. It sucks, but franchises aren't always loyal either.
Sure it wasn’t the best way for it to go down and I’m the farthest thing from an “armchair GM”. I’m just saying shiit ain’t always fair or nice in business and no matter what the NBA is a business FIRST. It doesn’t matter how entrenched ANY player is in the community as they are just assets at the end of the day but if his community work really is that important to CP3 he’ll continue his work because God knows he has the funds to make it happen.
Exactly. For Pete’s sake do we really want the Rockets to go the way of the Texans?? The next thing you know our GM doesn’t make a trade because the player wasn’t “Rockets worthy”.
As far as we know Chris Paul asked to be traded and this was told he wouldn't be before Westbrook became available. I don't consider this dirty, as far as I am concerned he got what he asked for.
I like CP3 but he has a history that's not great in terms of being a teammate. Harden does also but his talent and production is trumping that.
Uhh cp3 clearly said in the FA vid clips were already giving him max when he was discussing what he was going to do with his reps. You’re fake news. Do your research before assuming bs
Even if true, I don’t feel bad. He should have known he was trade fodder the moment he signed that max deal.
You act as if there havent been players who have taken less money to try to win. Especially when THEY KNOW they are injured and aging.
