Offensive rating = Points produced per 100 possessions

    2016-17: 114.1 (#2 in the NBA)
    2017-18: 114.1 (#1 in the NBA)
    2018-19: 114.9 (#2 in the NBA)

    OUT: Chris Paul
    IN: Russell Westbrook

Where do you think the Rockets offensive rating will be next season?

#1. D’Antoni’s system is too productive. Westbrook wins MVP.

    .....Nah.

    Not the Lakers anyway.

Rockets will still be elite offensively. They would be even without WB/Paul.

    114-ish.

Far worse defense. Far worse against defenses like Utah/LA in the postseason.

    I’d say a solid #4. Maybe #3

    Easily 1 or 2.

D’Antoni offensive that allows PGs to flourish.

Actual spacing for Russ to work with and shooters that can hit outside shots.

This version of Francis can at least pass. Think he’ll have a bounce back year too, but there will always be 3-5 WTF moments a game.

First or second in the league.

Having said that, will the offensive rating go up or down compared to last season?

I think it will go down. Not a lot, but some.

Where that will rank is tricky. GS should fall some. Bucks, Nuggets and Blazers have a chance to stay close to the top. Clippers should improve to that level as well.

Anywhere between 1-6 seems possible. Shocked if we were outside top 10.

top 2 ez. CP didn't play much in the regular season.. we got almost the same team back + westbrook.
also MDA's system is built to score a lot of points in the regular season.

I say we become more inefficient on offense and drop to 4 or 5.

I dont even want to to think about our defensive efficiency next year.

It's a pretty safe bet that their offense won't be all-time great when you replace Paul with Westbrook.
