And then glue himself to Elston Turner's hip.

 

I hope he can be a role player because we really need a 6'8 PF, or someone taller than Andrew Tucker.

 

He's going to be an all-time great Rocket. I'm talking MCW level production!

If he has any athleticism, skills and can follow instructions at all then he has a chance of success with the team. He will not have any pressure on him because he has already has the label. I do like the fact he still plays and wants a try at the big leagues again —> drive & determination. I hope DM ties into a long low non-guaranteed contract if it some how works out. Hopefully he is what we have been waiting on - Tucker 2.0.

Pretty sure that was Anthony Bennett. This Andrew Bennet is someone else.

 

I think it was a great pick up because it’s such low risk with the potential for high reward. Certainly there are more reasons to not hope vs reasons to hope, but as this is such low risk I’ll take the reasons to hope.

- Can his 3pt shot translate to the NBA?
- Can he impose his will in the post in the NBA like he does in the G-League
- Although he’s not tall he is massive from the shoulders up and his huge arms
- Great Athleticism
- Can he improve his defense?

There is definitely something there with Bennet, just don’t know yet if it translates to the NBA. I actually glad to see the Rockets to a chance on this guy.

 

not sure if he has the lateral quickness as a switchable 4 to guard the perimeter, so perhaps they might try him at 5 instead of tucker and see if can handle that? He can't be any worse than Tucker in at least boxing out and guarding a post up?

 

Just changed my vote from “always will be a bust “ to “serviceable role player” after watching those highlights. Not that you can tell much from highlights, but size and shooting touch don’t lie. If he can shoot anywhere close to his G league level, he can contribute to this team in the regular season.

 

He'll play 15 minutes and probably average about 5 ppg. Is that serviceable? I'm not sure what to vote for but I voted for serviceable.

I think Bennett can be everything Melo was supposed to be without the crazy ego.

 

It grinds my gears that everyone keeps spelling his name as “Bennet” instead of “Bennett.” “Bennett” is the more common spelling so not sure how you’re screwing that up.

If Rockets could bring out the potential in House, it's possible they can do this with Bennett as-well.
