Rockets CEO Tad Brown: "There are gonna be fireworks" in regards to Rockets offseason

It’ll be a cold day in hell before I believe anything said by someone named TAD.

 

Admittedly, as a team officer, he's kind of supposed to be. Far more galling, IMO, is when ostensibly independent media acts as public relations workers for the team.

Still, less jaw-jaw, and more actual accomplishments, would be appreciated by this fan.

 

All I'm going to say is this team is a lot more passive under the new owner, maybe it is a coincidence and things haven't broken our way, maybe our new owner is just a guy content with making the playoffs. I guess time will tell.

 

I don't mind that much that the Rockets aren't making that many transactions---their cap situation is ridiculous, and they don't have many picks to trade with. I just want them to shut up about all of the deals they're planning to do, or wishing they could do.

I mean technically he was right. It was just 4th of July and there were fireworks all over my East Downtown neighborhood. You guys just didn't realize he was referring to 4th of July celebrations which totally fall in the off-season..
