Can anyone post the recent Athletic article about Dwight? https://www.google.com/amp/s/theath...d-about-whats-next-for-him-in-his-career/?amp
he was a factor to the slow start. so was Bzdelik quitting right before the season started. so were the minimum contracts morey got to replace ariza and moute instead of spending the MLE on actual rotation worthy talent.
no, he wasnt. how was a guy off the bench responsible for james, chris, and ego not only all missing games while he was here, but also playing like ass when they did ? james, chris, and clint were not in shape IMO. the team played better when those 3 finally started moving like max salary players. melo didnt have anything to do with it. it was going to be a slow start whether he was there or not with the way they were playing.
You are being ridiculous. He played 30 minutes per game for us, and even with James/Chris/Gordon all being bad, he was even worse. He had Westbrook level efficiency on 11 shots per game and was one of the worst defenders in the league. Nobody is saying he is solely responsible, but you have to be nuts to think he wasn't even a factor.
i say let's bring back D.howard, J.lin and melo, so we got our 1, 3 , 5 positions all covered. oh and bring back Mcfail as assistant coach. it's gonna be so fun next season!
because he wasnt. the rockets had another trash stretch after he was released.... you all have short memories and created this narrative before the season even started. when james hit his stride, the team started winning. clint and cp3 were not in basketball shape.
i see whatevers left of the melo idiots are trying to hang on for dear life. nobody who is still trying to defend that guy to be any good at this point should be taken seriously. and I'm not surprised who you've engaged with here. pretty consistent terrible iq
He played poorly, and that's bad for the team, it's as simple as that. Any player on the rockets who plays poorly is bad for the team, period. It doesn't matter at all that they were still losing after they released him. I feel stupid even having to type this out. How can you argue that someone playing badly isn't bad for the team?
