I'm not on board with the Love idea …. dude hasn't played more than 60 games in 3 years and only 20 last year. 5 years ago …. I'd have been down like Charlie Brown.
3 team Rox in: Robert Covington, Marvin Williams, hernangomez Rox out: SNT shumpert SNT or our in nene all minimums Minny in: shump nene minimums Minny out roco dieng Charlotte in: dieng. Draft capital Charlotte out Marvin Williams. Hernangomez Rox get a premier 3 and d wing and another switch big with great shooting and advanced stats. Gain 3 rotation players for nothing. Minny is able to shed a 2 year and 3 year salary. Dieng is a negative contract and roco will help get rid of that salary. Now they are free to trade all those expirings during the season for another player and use assets to dump Wiggins. Only hiccup would be if they want to see if gsw will trade Teague and roco for dlo. But I think Orlando Detroit okc and other teams could offer better packages for him Charlotte is stuck. They take on another year of salary with dieng but they gain draft capital for the rebuild. The salary is net neutral for this season as well. We’d run Paul/rivers Harden/ego Roco/house Tucker/Marvin Capela/hernangomez Kept a lot of draft capital and have assets like roco/ego/Marvin to flip at deadline for guys like Gordon. But if that falls through it’s a team that is 10 deep can shoot and switch everything.
Doubt the Rockets will go into LT for anyone; best case would be to absorb Royce O’Neal into a TPE for an asset and pick up Thabo for the minimum. Maybe Faried will come back too. Paul/Rivers Harden/Gordon Royce/House Tucker/Thabo Capela/Faried Allows Morey to keep almost all the teams’ assets to use to dump salary at the trade deadline.
I hope the Rockets can somehow pry Steven Adams from OKC, if that team decides to enter a full rebuild.
I think Love not rushing back last year had more to do with there not really being a point. Tbh I'm not all that concerned with players being available for every game or close to it for the regular season. It's not a given that the Rockets will make the playoffs but Harden hasn't missed them since he's been here. I think if the Rockets got Love and managed him along with cp3 to try to have them available for the playoffs it'd give us a good shot to get to the finals. Well, a better shot...
We almost sent CP to the Bulls earlier in the offseason so I figured maybe rework that deal to get Russ. Rockets In: Russell Westbrook Otto Porter Jr. Chandler Hutchinson Bulls In: Chris Paul Steven Adams Rockets 2022 1st Thunder In: Eric Gordon Lauri Markkanen Kris Dunn Christian Felicio Antonio Blakeney 2020 Rockets 1st 2024 Rockets 1st 2026 Rockets 1st Rockets retool and revamp and go all in on the next 2-3 years. Get a start SF and can bring in Iggy as well. Westbrook/Rivers Harden/Green Porter/Iggy Tucker Capela/Hartenstein Bulls can compete and actually have a solid starting 5 with these additions. CP also a good mentor for Coby White and they have history with each other. 4 years of CP teaching him in the NBA could make Coby White a really good PG for the Bulls moving forward. Chris Paul Zach Lavine Denzel Valentine Thad Young Steven Adams Thunder get off two big contracts, get even more picks, get youth, and an expiring in Gordon giving them cap space next summer. Schroder Gordon Gallinari Grant Markkanen
Good work. I like Royce, but I wouldn't go after Thabo. J. Simmons has been waived by the Wizards. Royce and he would be good enough.
Trade for westbrook, trade gordon for crowder, sign jam green for the mle, sign iggy & bradley after the buy out, bring back faried. Russ/Rivers Harden/Bradley/Green Crowder/Iggy/House Green//Tucker/House Capela/Faried
Clint+Shumpert+Everything For Gallo & Steven Adams CP3/Rivers Harden/Gordon Gallo/House Tucker Adams/Tyson
Trying to play by the rules and putting my trade ideas in the right thread. Rockets in: A. Wiggins R. Convington Teague Rockets out: Chris Paul Gary Clarke Daniel House Davis 2 firsts Minnesota In: Dragic Olynick House Davis 2 firsts 2 seconds Minnesota out: A. Wiggins R. Covington Teague MIami in: Chris Paul Gary Clark Duval Miami out: Dragic Olynyk 2 seconds Rockets get power forward and small forward and expiring serviceable pg. Get rid of Paul's contract. Wiggins contract is more tradeable in the future and he meets a need. Minnesota gets expiring contract and second year expiring, serviceable pg and pf. 2 1sts and 2 seconds. Miami gets Chris Paul gets rid of dragic. Of course Miami will probably try and swing a deal for Westbrook first.
Minnesota Timberwolves Westbrook , Roberson Houston Rockets Jeff Teague Kelly Olynyk Robert Covington Oklahoma City THunder Andrew Wiggins Goran Dragic Josh Okogie Miami Heat Chris Paul
Eric Gordon, Deyonta Davis, future 1st, future 2nd for Zach Lavine. WHY???? 1. Lavine will be our replacement for Eric Gordon this season and beyond. 2. He's a career 37% 3PT shooter 3. He's capable of playing big minutes (34.5 mpg last year) 4. He has a 65% FG% around the rim last year (e.g. can attack and finish at the rim) 5. Chicago will need to extend Lauri next season and Wendell Carter after that. Is he defense any where near Gordon? Nope but the kid still has upside and his offense is already just as good, if not better, than Eric's.
Would y’all do a trade like this? Rockets Receive: Steven Adams Russell Westbrook Kelly Olynyk Justice Winslow Miami Receives: Chris Paul Iman Shumpert (sign and trade) OKC Receives: Capela Gordon Dragic Johnson Miami Unprotected first round pick (changed from protected) Rockets future first round pick
Rather have Okogie over Olynyk. Sign Noah and JSimmons to vet mins. Harden/Rivers Gordon/Okogie Tucker/JSimmons/Green Covington/House/Clark Capela/Noah/DDavis
I think most teams would prefer Okogie.. why do you think the Twolves would trade him? Olynyk may not be perfect, but I think he would be a darn good addition to the Rox. Look at all the measureables and CARMELO... advanced metrics, etc. Olynyk would / should be good in Htown.
Only way to get KBD would be a first rounder or taking Dieng back with him for perhaps Shump and a minimum. And that's intriguing. Because KBD has substantial upside on both ends of the court.
