Would you trade Chris Paul and 4 Firsts to improve the roster?

If by "improve" you mean acquiring 2 superstars at the same time yes without question.

We could find ourselves in the same situation the Nets were in for a decade if we doom our future for a marginal improvement.

For who? I don't think there's a player available for this kind of trade...aside for Westbrook if:

- you think it's worth it

- other teams won't offer a better package


Personally i'm torn, James and Russ are friends, they had actually the best numbers when they played together in OKC, better than KD/Russ and KD/Harden...but, even if you assume Russ is better than Chris at this point (i think this is a fair argument), four 1st rounders? That's probably way too much for Russ at this point.

And i can still see teams like Knicks and Heat go hard after him. Knicks have plenty of assets, Miami has just Herro and Winslow, no picks basically, but they have expiring contracts which might be better than taking back Chris Paul by us.

No. The league is open for at least one year. This is our absolute best shot.

 

Considering we trade our 1sts regardless every year and our best 1st rounders have been Capela and Sam Dekker, I don't see why not.

 

It's not about not wanting to play with Harden, it's about wanting to play in LA and knowing that Houston can't make a realistic offer. Look at what Pels and Thunder get in return for AD and PG. Can we even offer half of the price without including Harden himself?

 

I'd trade that if you'd stop starting threads.
