we can get him help. rotation players can help. doesn't have to be a star. the problem is the rockets either go for a star or minimum contracts.

just build around james a little. its all the team needs. we brought back our top 7 from last year. if they add 1 more decent guy (like a good backup C for the minimum) that's an actual rotation! and if we can S&T shumpert for someone like RoCo or Iggy that would give us a 9 man rotation! its more than james has ever had. we won 65 games with an 8 man rotation.

 

At this point no team has 3 stars. If they can't win then it's because our stars are good, but not good enough

 

It probably will. They jawed at each other all playoffs, and still played the Warriors closer than anyone not wearing a Raptors jersey. Paul's opinion is largely irrelevant unless he can get his performance back to something in between last year's, and his trend for the six-seven years prior. He wasn't a scrub last year, but he didn't play like a star Not sure why Harden should give Paul much more credence than say, Tucker's opinion of his play. How many rings does Paul have? How many Finals has he played in?

Now, I think Harden should listen to Paul's advice, as it's knowledgeable, and maybe even necessary. But the above reasons are why I think Harden might not care to.

Far more important, IMHO, is that they still don't have any proven rebounding bigs besides Capela and Tucker. Stupid to rely on a 35 year old to play major minutes at the 4-5. Tucker's been durable, so far. How long is that going to last? I hope Hart makes a leap this year.

TL;DR: They should be the favorites, but they still need a player or two.
