Sooo The bigger issue than your idea of a 4 (PJ Tucker did really well in that role last season, right?) is the issue of a backup 5 on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. It sounds like the remainder of the MLE is being thrown at Javale McGee to backup Capela. Should that happen, then we no longer have the resources to out-offer anyone at all for Morris or Jam Green. At least be realistic in your disappointment? I think Jam Green would be PERFECT for this squad - but realism says he might get an offer over $5-6M per season, which puts him beyond our price range. The season doesn't end in July. Don't give up just yet.
If people really love Dream, they would want a team who plays defense and offense and has great chemistry like Clutch City. And a coach who makes adjustments like Rudy T.
gimme a top notch 3 or 4 please lawd. i been preachin this since finals ended. make. something. happen.
we dont need a top 4 man, pj has made that extra clear. gimme a top 3 all f*cking day. im telling you. just gimme a poor man's paul george, whoever tf that is. thats our guy my top 3's i want.... jabari parker, kelly oubre, stanley johnson, josh jackson, rudy gay
I miss the days when we debated whether Terrence Jones or Donatas Motiejunas would be our future at the 4.
You’re overvaluing PJ Tucker. Which I guess is done because he is a solid versatile defender that can hit a three as a stretch 4. But he’s not generally a good offensive player otherwise, is a generally poor rebounder for his position and minutes played and good defensively but not all world obviously. An upgrade is needed even if not a death sentence if they fill other positions with quality players.
PJ was solid, but there’s only so much an undersized guy can do. We definitely miss size and McGee won’t fix that.
