    wow. he's a good player but when was the last time a player with exactly 0 nba accolades gotten full max o_O

    I like Murray (more than Russell actually) but damn, that's a lot of money for a guy like him...

    Rockets aren’t ones to judge other teams moves. He’s super young and improving. Meanwhile we have a past his prime “star” on a more expensive (per year) contract .

    Right now I’ll trade Clint Capela for Gordon Hayward. Young players usually come back second year just bad ankle injury he need fix his head. It wasn’t acl tear. He’s scared to land. The more he plays the more confident he gets. Clint is trash in play offs. And we sign another 5.

    This was expected.

    Murray had excellent season as an emerging young star and was going to be locked up with an max extension after his rookie deal expires in 2020. Yes, I know the sticker shock is a lot on these new contracts, but that's just the new prices with this inflated salary cap.

    Also, Denver has a well balanced salary sheet going forward: Jokic and Murray on the max, Harris and Barton on team-friendly deals, Millsap and Plumlee expiring in 2020, and Porter Jr. still on his rookie deal.

    The Nuggets are set to be contenders for a top seed in the West the next 3-4 years.

    These GMs around the league are going crazy again this offseason. Some of these contracts signed today are just mind boggling. This Murray deal is one of them.

    expected probably, since no one is going to denver. its more of taking absolute advantage of the situation at the right time so good for Jamal but yeah i can't remember really the last time a player got the full max with exactly 0 nba accolades. not even sure it has happened up until now lol
