of course Morey is calm. I'd be calm too if I didn't get anything accomplished at work.

We need a capable back up for Paul. He missed 24 games this year and that is probably going to be about the average for the duration of his contract (he's turning 35 this year). I don't see how we can retain Rivers but he was a shot of energy when he was brought on. The Rockets just need a solid veteran that can dribble the ball up court when the opposing team decides to triple team James on the in bound.

We should be talking getting to the Finals first before winning it all.

You're delusional if you think the power of balance is equal.

I'd argue the West just got tougher.

We were the 4th seed last year so it's not like we were some top team and every team in the West has gotten better.

They actually still have the same core that won 72 games and a title.

Honestly, I'm excited about running it back as long as we have a couple of updates:

    - need a rebounder/size
    - add some defense
    - Cp3, Gordon, or both need to come off bench. Either let CP3 mainly handle when he is on the floor with Harden, or let Rivers run point and get some ball movement in 1st unit. I love Gordon, but he's inconsistent and is a great 6th man.
    - readjust system, cannot have ISO Harden in every important moment NOR the entirety of playoffs.

No overhauls needed, after we got rid of 3 players last season and revamped, we were one of the best teams in the league for the final 2 months or so. Rivers, House, and Green are back, not bad at all. Honestly, I think once the team was back... Harden had some difficulty releasing the superhero reins a bit. It's right there, and we dont need superstar signings to get a round or 2 further. The Warriors were our kryptonite, but now that weapon is busted up and we need to work the small pieces to maximize the damage we can do. Move the ball, defend, rebound, and my God we're winning 60 games and getting into the conference and league finals. The potential is there, and no rehaul is needed yet.

So Leonard and PG team in Clippers, bringing more parity in the NBA.

LeBron and Davis in the Lakers.

Rockets are the favorites in the west now. They can easily beat these two newly assembled squads.

can't even tell if this is sarcasm

I don't think we are screwed, but this is not ideal. if Paul gets injured, we we like 8th seed

Yep, especially depending on the timing of the injury. You figure Paul is due to miss 20-25 games excuse of injury or load management.

This situation isn’t a damning as Leonard on the Lakers but it’s far ideal.

Kawhi will miss his 20 games in the RS and hope for injuries on other teams, then he'll dominate the Playoffs.

Lou Will will take on Van Vleet's role.

    Pretty simple plan.

I'm happy with the way things turned out. Yes, we were 4th last year, but that was with a crazy combination of injuries to CP3, Capela, and Gordon.

If the latter two have a relatively healthy year, and CP misses around 15-20 games, I'm fairly confident that Houston is going to be just fine. They need to get their juju right though. I'm hoping to see some ubuntu instagram stories soon

New plan to run it back
1.Sign and trade shump and a 1st to Minny for Roco.
    2. Do not trade for iggy and wait for buyout market. The hope is iggy being well recruiting 2 years ago will choose Houston over LA, for reasons such as dantoni and overall knowledge of Houston’s offense.
    3. Sign JaMychael Green, Avery Bradley to minimum contracts and you have a team that can defend Clippers, Lakers and Dubs.

    Rockets projected depth:

    Paul/ Rivers/ Ponds
    Harden/ Gordon/ Bradley
    Covington/Iggy/ Green
    Tucker/ja.Green/Clark
    Capela/Ja. Green / Hartenstein
