I like him, but every time we dip into our purse to sign a guy like him, there is less of a chance we sign anyone of real consequence.

Judging by the absurd numbers we've seen early in free agency, we were never gonna be able to sign anyone of consequence with the TMLE.

Any splash we may make will be in the trade market.

i mean ...i'm happy we signed House at a value, but it feels like our chance of landing an impact player with the MLE is gone. It kind of sucks watching the Jazz get better. Really hope we add someone somehow that will be a difference-maker.

Great deal, expected House to get more than that with all the money/cap room out there.

I would have rather let him go and use $9.2M on a better rotation guy.

however if we are getting butler and could only use $6.7M, splitting it between house and someone like McGee isn't that bad of an option. plug two holes and neither are that much worse than someone who would sign for the full $6.7M

Maybe they explored it and that guy just wasn't available...i mean, considering guys like Lamb, Aminu, Ariza, Redick, Young all got more than 10M...

That's a pretty team friendly deal if you ask me …. I was expecting House to get maybe 5m per on average as wings who shoot 40% from deep and defend reasonably well cost big money.

I call that a win for Morey. It aint the minimum but its less than expected.

The improvements the Jazz made have me worried for sure. Hopefully House can make a leap, especially in the post-season obviously.

Hopefully this guy can continue developing. There are always these low-drafted, undrafted guys that have a chip on their shoulder determined to prove their worth. Hopefully he's one of those guys that stays motivated enough to get better.

Very glad to have him back. I still believe Dantoni made a mistake not giving him more chances in the playoffs. It was his first go round cut him some slack. I love the way Kerr trusted all his guys and keeping fresh bodies in.

Most here are like sheep. Why sign him today? We were in control of him. He was restricted we could have matched the offer from another team. House signed today because he thinks it’s the best he could do —> over pay by the Rockets. If someone gave him a lower offer would he have signed then we matched the lower offer —> we will never know. DM chasing butterflies and over paying the bird in hand. I like House as a player and a business man, too. House got what he wants and some, IMO —> why would he leave money on the table? —> the walk out season says he wouldn’t.
