Most definitely has a better chance in the Weaker East. Would still watch some of his games.

Celtics would likely have to renounce any Horford TPE to create the cap room necessary to sign Kemba.

If the trade doesn't happen just get Magic to come in and tell Clint/Gordon to be professionals.

    Great Throw Bima.

Just throwing this out there: IF Butler opted-in, the Rockets could move Capela to a third team for a pick(s), PHI could get the pick(s) + a $20M TPE, and HOU could hold on to Gordon & Tucker. Rockets would only need to toss in a minimum guy (Clark or Hartenstein) to make it work

He stepped up in the playoffs. That far outweighs any issues he had in the first two months. He's had slumps with us before last season too.

Gordon's role would be very limited, he would still have fun winning games.....I'll leave it at that.

    Why?

Clint, Noels, DJ, or Stien... they are all the same players.

Playing with Harden, he will make any one of those players close to great...and there is an argument that he could make some of them even better than Clint.... so yeah...Clint after showing that he is a mental midget.... can kick rocks for Butler any day of the week.

I imagine we’d just try to use Gordon to improve elsewhere at that point.

    See above picture.

Eric Gordon + Nene + Non Guaranteed Contracts is enough for Love. Get a pnr center with the MLE maybe Bell. WE are winning the championship with this team.

    CP3/Harden/Butler/Tucker/Love House/MLE Center/ Harty/ Vet Min/ Vet Min.

Clutchfans, what scenarios are out there for us to trade Eric Gordon and be a better team rather than keeping him. Of course, this is with the understanding that we've added Butler to our team.

Its the difference in being able to add pieces and not. If this happens i would so much prefer the opt in and trade. Sign and Trade is going to be a huge team turnover.

Harden is also he reason Clint is rich lol He improved a ton (strip away his **** play against the Warriors), but Id really be interested in seeing how Clint plays without Harden getting him his lob dunks. I'll never understand why CP3 doesnt click with him.

No it wouldn't. Gordon would still come off the bench as a 6th man of the year finalist.

In the end while i'm not holding by breath on this ending up in the best possible way for us, i'm also thinking that if Jimmy is sold on coming here, he might ultimately opt in, he knows that scenario is better for us and so for him so, again, assuming he wants to be here, it really comes down to the money, if he wants to cash in now so badly or not, he gave up on guaranteed money already in the past, would be great if he would do it again.

If Butler were on the team then gordon would lose shots and handling time. He would just be a spot shooter. Thats just a fact

Yep. But then again these guys are professionals and it's part of the business. Cant control what the owner is pushing for.
